Product Change Management

At first, Change Process is the engine of the enterprise’s activity. It is a necessity to define the normal and fast track change process including prioritisation, impact and resource assessment. Then release the role of the Change control Committee (CCC), Change Control Board (CCB). And so, use Change Models in the Development Process.
Configuration Management

When Change process is released, the next step consists in studying five stages of Configuration Management: planning, identification, control, status accounting and verification.
Contrary to the other processes of service support, which are linear, (Ex: Problem Management where each problem follows a fixed course), the configuration management is a cyclic process, which uses the Deming wheel (PDCA: Plan, Do, Check, Act).
Configuration management is not the process that triggers the updates of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), but the change management, Configuration process places at the disposal the CMDB and which makes it possible to make it evolve over time.
PLM strategy to manage configured product
